Mendel Catholic Prep Alumni Foundation, Inc.

"Building Mendel's Legacy through Charitable Works and Deeds"

Foundation History

Under the leadership of the like- minded Mendel alumni, the Mendel Catholic Prep Alumni Foundation was formed in 2011. Since then the Foundation has brought Mendel graduates together to foster memories of high school life at Mendel and enhance and support excellence in catholic school students and build its legacy and pay homage to the school that helped shape their lives.

From simple beginnings in 1951, to a robust program of academic and athletic excellence, Mendel was an experience that enriched its students and Mendel's impact on the Chicago's Roseland/West Pullman community, the city of Chicago, the state of Illinois and the United States of America is still growing 25 years after Mendel bid its farewell to the Chicago Catholic League in 1988.

Mendel's 37 year history is short but legendary and its influence is still felt today and the foundation is committed to building Mendel's legacy for years to come. Mendel mattered and the Foundation is making a difference.
